Privacy Policy — LifeTycoon

Last updated: 28 September 2026

LifeTycoon ("the app", "the game", "we", "us", "our") is a single-player life-simulation game for Android, developed by Aman Juneja, an individual developer based in Gurugram, Haryana, India ("the developer").

This policy explains what personal data the app and its service providers handle, why, on what legal basis, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the LifeTycoon Android app distributed through Google Play.

1. Summary

The table in section 3 is the complete inventory. Nothing outside it is collected.

2. Who this policy covers and your consent

By installing and using LifeTycoon you acknowledge this policy. Where the law requires consent for a specific processing activity (for example, personalised advertising in the EEA/UK), that consent is collected separately through Google's consent prompt (see section 4) and can be withdrawn at any time.

3. What we collect, why, and for how long

Data Collected / processed by Purpose Shared with Retention Your control
On-device game data — character details you type, life events, statistics, settings, achievement and purchase status; a local save file plus a few rolling backups. The save file carries a short device-derived integrity tag used only to detect tampering; it never leaves the device. The app, on your device only Run the game; keep your progress No one — never uploaded Until you use Reset data / Delete my data, or uninstall Settings → Reset data / Delete my data; uninstall
App events — e.g. character created, year advanced, choice made, life ended, purchase made, ad shown, screen opened, with non-identifying parameters. No character names or free text you type are sent. Google Firebase Analytics Understand feature use and stability in aggregate Google (as our processor) Firebase's standard analytics retention Settings → "Share anonymous usage data" (on unless you turn it off); Delete my data
Crash and diagnostic data — stack traces, a random app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, app version, language, coarse region Google Firebase Crashlytics Diagnose and fix crashes Google (as our processor) Firebase Crashlytics' standard retention Settings → "Send crash reports" (on unless you turn it off); Delete my data
Advertising data — advertising ID, IP address (for coarse location), general device information, ad interaction data (impressions, clicks), and the consent choice you made Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK Serve, frequency-cap and measure ads in the free version Google (as an independent controller for ad delivery, under its own policies) Per Google's ad-data retention Buy LifeTycoon Pro to remove ads; in the EEA/UK use the consent prompt / Settings → "Manage ad consent"; reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings
Purchase data — the Google Play purchase token and order ID for items you buy; the resulting entitlement Google Play Billing Deliver purchases; let you restore them on a new install Google (payment processor and merchant of record) Kept by Google per its policies; we keep only the entitlement on your device Your Google Play account
Push registration (only if push notifications are switched on) — a Firebase Cloud Messaging registration token and topic subscriptions Firebase Cloud Messaging Deliver notifications you have opted into Google (as our processor) Until you turn notifications off or uninstall Settings → Notifications and its per-category toggles

"Coarse region" means country/region level, derived from IP address by Google — not GPS or precise location.

4. Advertising and personalisation (free version)

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob — for example a banner, occasional full-screen ads at natural breaks between years of play, and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch. Pro users are never shown ads.

Google's handling of advertising data is governed by Google's Advertising — Privacy & Terms and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

5. Third-party services and SDKs

The app includes the following third-party components. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy:

Provider / SDK Role Policy
Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config) Analytics, crash reporting, push delivery, remote feature settings https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) + User Messaging Platform Advertising and EEA/UK consent https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Google Play Billing Purchases, restore, refunds https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/ and https://policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play services (device) Platform services the above depend on https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not integrate any social-media SDK, tracking pixel, data broker, or attribution / ad-network SDK beyond Google AdMob.

6. What we do not collect

The app does not collect precise/GPS location, contacts, photos or media, files, microphone audio, camera images, SMS, call logs, calendar, health or fitness data, or biometric data. It does not build an advertising or marketing profile of you beyond what the AdMob SDK does for ad delivery, frequency capping and measurement. We do not sell personal data.

7. Legal bases for processing

Where a legal basis is required (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023):

Processing Basis
Storing your game data on your device; delivering purchases you request; showing non-personalised ads in the free version; crash reporting needed to keep the app working Performance of the service you asked for / our legitimate interest in a functioning, stable app
Personalised advertising (EEA/UK/CH) Your consent, collected via the consent prompt and withdrawable at any time
Usage analytics Your consent, which you can withdraw in Settings at any time; our legitimate interest in improving the app
Push notifications Your consent (you turn notifications on)
Complying with law, resolving disputes, enforcing our Terms Legal obligation / legitimate interest

Under India's DPDP Act, processing is based on your consent or on the "legitimate uses" that Act allows; you may withdraw consent as easily as you gave it, using the Settings controls in section 8.

8. Your choices and controls

On your device / Google account:

By contacting us:

We aim to acknowledge requests within 7 days and to resolve them within 30 days, or sooner if your local law requires it.

9. Data retention

10. Children and teens

LifeTycoon is rated for teen audiences and is not directed to children under 13. On first run the app asks for your birth year; if it shows you are under 13 you cannot continue, and only a single yes/no result is stored on the device — no birth year and no age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the higher age of digital consent in your country.

If you are under 18, please use LifeTycoon only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian; in India, the law treats everyone under 18 as a child for data-protection purposes. A parent or guardian can switch off analytics and crash reporting, and delete the app's data, using the controls in section 8.

If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at lifetycoon.support@gmail.com and we will delete it.

11. Your rights

India — Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023

If you are in India, you have the right to: access a summary of your personal data and how it is processed; correction, completion, updating and erasure; grievance redressal (section 14); and to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity. To exercise any of these, contact the Grievance Officer below. If your grievance is not resolved, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

EEA / UK / Switzerland — GDPR

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, and to data portability, and — where processing is based on consent — to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). We have no EU/UK establishment; contact us at lifetycoon.support@gmail.com and we will respond directly.

California and other US states

We do not sell personal information for money. The advertising SDK's use of identifiers for personalised ads may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law; you can opt out using your device ad settings and the controls in section 8. You have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Contact lifetycoon.support@gmail.com.

We will not charge you or degrade the game for exercising any privacy right, beyond the unavoidable effect of a choice (for example, turning off analytics does not change gameplay; deleting your data removes your saved progress).

12. International transfers

The service providers named above are Google entities that may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Google applies its own transfer safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not ourselves hold any server-side copy of your data.

13. Security

Game data stays in the app's private storage on your device. The save file carries a device-derived integrity tag so tampering with the paid unlock is detected. Network traffic from the app uses HTTPS only. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for the security of your device and Google account.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, highlighted in the app or on this page before they take effect. If you keep using the app after an update, the revised policy applies; if you do not agree, stop using the app and uninstall it.
